The Your Status page displays your current jury service status.

  • Your name
  • Date of your service
  • Assigned location (courthouse)

For driving instructions, click the Get Map & Driving Instructions link.

On the Qualification page:

  • If you’re qualified to be a juror, select I am QUALIFIED to serve as a juror. You can select a different date and/or request a different location if eligible.
    You can also request an assistive listening device.
  • If you are not qualified to serve as a juror, select I am NOT QUALIFIEDto serve as a juror.

Change your jury service date

  1. On the Scheduling Your Service page, select Change Your Date.
  2. On the Postpone Service Date page, select an available court date on the calendar.

  1. On the Scheduling Your Service page, select Change Court Location and Date - Hardship Only.
  2. On the Hardship Transfer Request page, select a courthouse to which to transfer.
  3. Click Continue.
  4. Enter an explanation of hardship (in 300 letters or less).
  5. Select an available court date on the calendar.

  1. On the Your Status page, click Request Hardship Transfer.
  2. On the Current Jury Service page, select a new courthouse from the list.
  3. If a calendar appears, you must select an available date.
  4. Explain your hardship (in 300 characters or less).

On the Request Disqualification page, verify I am NOT QUALIFIED to serve as a juror is selected.
You are required to supply evidence to support your claim. Depending on your selection, you may be required to:

  • Enter your date of birth if you are claiming to be over 70 years of age or under 18 years of age.
  • Enter additional requested information.
  • Mail additional evidence to the Office of Jury Commissioner.

Reasons for disqualification include:

  • You are not a US citizen.
  • You are 70 years of age or older and choose not to serve.
  • You are under the age of 18.
  • You cannot speak and understand English.
  • You are living full-time outside of the county for which you have been selected to serve.
  • You will be outside of the county for which you have been selected to serve all year.
  • You have a felony conviction in the past 7 years, are currently charged with a felony, or are currently in custody.
  • You served within the last 3 years.
  • You have a medical disability.
  • You are the primary caregiver for a medically disabled person.

On the Juror Name and Address Information page, confirm and, if applicable, update your name and address information.

Note: You cannot update to a county outside the county to which you were summoned. If you have relocated permanently outside that county, you must submit a disqualification request.

If you have moved out of Massachusetts permanently, select Check here if you have moved outside Massachusetts Permanently.

On the Email Notifications page, enter your email address if you want to receive important court notifications concerning your juror service.

Note: Your email address will not be sold and will only be used for court messages relative to your jury service.

  • If you do not want to receive emails, select Opt out of providing your email address.
  • If you choose to receive emails, select:
    Yes, please send all relevant notifications by email only.
    Or
    No, please continue to send notifications by mail (as well as by email, if address provided).

The Office of Jury Commissioner is required by law to collect demographic information from all potential jurors to ensure that jury pools are diverse and representative of communities from which they are drawn.

On the Demographic Survey page, answer both required questions to provide the demographic information that applies to you.

If your current jury service details (name, date and location) and, if applicable, requested jury service details (date and location) are correct, enter your electronic signature. Enter your complete name and select “I acknowledge that I am electronically signing this request”.

Your submission is completed. If you provided an email address, you will receive a confirmation of your submission by email.

On the Submission Complete page, you can:

  • Select Get Map and Driving Instruction to display a map and driving instructions to your assigned jury service (if it has been assigned).
  • Select http://www.mbta.com (opens in a new browser tab) to display public transportation instructions.
  • Select Create a calendar reminder to create a calendar event compatible with Microsoft Outlook, Android, Google, and iPhone calendars.
  • Click Print Page to print this confirmation.
  • Click Submit Feedback to take a short survey about this Office of Jury Commissioner website.
  • Click Log Out to exit this Office of Jury Commissioner website.
